My Favorite Pics

Occasionally, I'll be choosing what I believe to be the best of the sports photography I've taken. The selections are based on several factors including quality of the photograph and the imagery presented as being that which captures the athlete's profound moments. My favorite photos are those that express emotion in the actions and faces of our Bobcat student-athletes.

Information about downloading Sports Photographs

Instructions and tips:

The photographs in this archive are primarily meant for the friends and families of those individuals present in the photographs. They are not intended for commercial use. In fact, the commercial sale of similar photos is one reason for this archive's existence. Misuse may render the complete archive unattainable (meaning, I'll take them down)

  • Click the photograph set that you want to view. When you click it, a new window will launch that will help you navigate through the archive.
  • Each photo set is rather large so it may take some time to download the navigational page, particualrly if you are not on a broadband connection.
  • When you select a thumbnail of a desired photo, the original, hi-resolution file will load into the web browser window. This, too, can take some time since each photo is anywhere between 4-5 megabytes in file size. The photo will appear very large since the resolution of your computer monitor is quite low compared to the resolution of the photo. Use the sidebars to move through the selected photo.
  • To download, right click the hi-resolution image and chose "Save Picture As..." to save it to your computer.
  • In many cases, you'll find a series of photos (side-by-side) that were taken in high-speed of a single athletic endeavor. The series together, when downloaded, will show stop-action motion separated by fractions of a second.

Permissions for Use:

  • You are granted the right to use any photographs in this archive under the Creative Commons License: Creative Commons License. In short, this means that you can use any photo for non-commercial personal use. Presentation of web versions of the original hi-resolution files on web sites is allowable but credit to the author (Peter Galarneau, Jr.) should be considered. Additionally:
    • At no time is permission granted to sell these photographs in any form without the expressed written permission of the author.
    • At no time should these photographs be used to promote any commercial endeavor without the expressed written permission of the author.
